- Size (height, depth, width)
- Function (ex. decorative, structural, both)
- Where is the piece going? (i.e. inside vs. outside, hanging on a wall, mounted in the ground, etc.)
- Style
- Simple or ornate?
- Period style (ex. art deco, gothic, etc.)
- Finish (ex. painted, patina, etc.)
- Pictures of inspirational pieces are useful but only for a general idea.
- Other important contacts
- Your contractor
- Your architect
- Your interior designer
- Local building inspectors (if applicable)
